Welcome to Rainham Nursery

The pre-school and nursery is located on the Orchard Village estate in Rainham with easy access to Dagenham and the A13 trunk road.

The nursery is purpose-built and offers flexible and full day care from birth to 5 years old.

The layouts of the three rooms are designed to enhance free-flow play and learning opportunities and all have direct access to the outdoor classroom.

Baby Nest

This spacious room gives babies the opportunity to practice their early movement skills and develop their crawling and walking. Soft, cosy areas are set up around the room for stories and sensory play as well as group activities and construction. Babies can explore textural and messy play supported by qualified practitioners

Babies sit together and build on their social interactions during mealtimes.

Gnome Home: An indoor physical play area including steps, a slide and platform for the babies to explore their physical abilities within a safe environment. The babies have freedom to access their own covered outdoor area to enjoy the fresh air and experiment with their world.

Starfish Room

Children move into the Starfish room when they are around two years old. The room layout provides toddlers with the opportunity to explore messy, imaginative and social play whilst having fun.

Books, crayons and educational resources provide endless opportunities.

Dolphins Room

Within this room children develop the skills necessary to support them in their move to school through carefully planned, fun activities. Children’s independence will flourish as they access a range of educational resources preparing them for their future school environment.

Messy play is an important part of children’s learning so these activities are encouraged with sand/water play, painting, play-dough and other creative opportunities.

Other Information

Drop off and collection parking is available.

A catering company is used to provide freshly cooked, healthy meals for the children every day.

Outdoor Play

Children have access to our large and secure, purpose built all weather outdoor classroom where they continue their learning and development through play. There is a pirate ship sand pit to encourage physical development. Children can ride their bikes and take part in creative and messy play activities.

Practitioners plan for both the indoor and outdoor environments incorporating the children’s individual interests into the curriculum.
